Again with another blog! Here you are gonna feel the spirituality inside you and gonna feel pleased calm and peaceful as here talking about spiritualism, peace, and culture, one of the cities that comes to our mind is Varanasi, India.
Banaras, also known as Varanasi or Kashi is a city situated on the bank of the river Ganges in Uttar Pradesh. The city of Lord Shiva in the city where people believe to attain instant moksha after their deaths. According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that if a person dies here, he/she will be forever liberated from this endless cycle of birth and death. Indeed this city is incredible. I think most of you guys know something more or less about Banaras as it is the most renowned city in India. But after reading this blog you will definitely going to fall in love with the city and plan to visit it there.
As hearing about Banaras is different from reading about it, but seeing is different from either reading or hearing. People from not only India but from all over the world visit Varanasi to explore the city in search of peace, calmness & spirituality.
Knowing Little History Of Varanasi.
Varanasi is one of the world's oldest continually inhabited cities. Kashi, its ancient name was associated with a kingdom of the same name 2500 years ago. According to Hindu mythology, Varanasi was founded by Shiva, one of the three principal deities. During a fight between Brahma and Shiva, one of Brahma's five heads was torn off by Shiva. Shiva dishonored Brahma's head and kept it with him all the time. When he came to the city of Varanasi, the hanging head of Brahma dropped from Shiva's hand and disappeared into the ground. Varanasi is thus considered an extremely holy site.
Famous Ghats OF Varanasi.
The city is famous for its Ghats. There are almost 88 ghats in the city, the highest number of ghats in the whole country. All the Ghats are used for bathing and various rites and rituals. Among all the Ghats the two ghats i.e. Harishchandra & Manikarnika are used for cremation purposes. Here is the list of some of the ghats having their own religion and significance

'Silk from Varanasi'. It is a dream of every female to have a Banarasi silk collection in her wardrobe. For her wedding, every bride desires to shop from Varanasi. Brides from all over the world arrive here for the Banarasi collection. Every ritual here seems to be incomplete without wearing a Banarasi silk sari. There are countless places in Varanasi where you will find the Banarasi collection of dupattas, saris, dress materials, etc. to ever think that a woman desires. Trust me you can't stop yourself to shop from there! Especially the silk collection. some famous places for silk collection are the Peelikothi area of the city, the wholesale shops in Thateri Bazar, Vishwanath Gali, Madanpura, etc. where you will get the best material at the best price. Food Of Varanasi.
Now here comes my favorite thing 'food!' Every city has something special food item and one should try it once when visiting it. Varanasi is famous for its sweets and street food. No one can deny the fact that the food and sweets are the best here. Every single person will surely become a fan of food after eating it here at once. there are some famous places that one should not miss during his trip to Varanasi such as Kachoris of Kachori Gali, Lassi of Vishwanath Gali, etc. there are too many that we can't even count. so foodies do visit the street food and taste the sweets in Varanasi.
Education In Varanasi.
Talking about the education in Varanasi the education center here attracts students not only from India but from all over the world. It has one of the best universities in the whole world i.e. Banaras Hindu University (BHU). There are many other universities in the city too. Moreover, various engineering colleges also have been established on the outskirts of the city. The city has now become a hub of education with various schools, colleges, and coaching centers.

Apart from Ghats and temples the city also has many more places such as museums and forts such as Ramnagar fort, Archaeological museum, etc. Also, there are waterparks, malls, shopping complexes, theatres, etc. where you can visit for your recreation.
